In Crieff High School we aim to cultivate a happy and caring community for everyone, no matter their identity.

We are currently working towards our LGBT Youth Scotland Bronze Charter to make our school even more inclusive and provide a safe working and learning environment for all.

It is increasingly important for everyone to know that they are represented, safe and respected in our school.  The young people and staff of our school have worked hard to educate themselves in order to better champion LGBTQ+ inclusivity and show that equality is one of our highest priorities.

Equality and Diversity Group

The LGBT Youth Scotland Charter is a programme that supports us to improve lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender inclusion for staff and young people.

So far, all of our staff have completed LGBT awareness training delivered by LGBT Youth Scotland and the LGBT Champion Group are helping to raise awareness.

In working towards our Bronze Charter, we are showing our commitment to equality and diversity in our school community.

LGBT Youth Tayside is a youth group for trans, including non binary, young people aged 13-25 in Tayside. They meet every Monday from 6pm to 8pm .

The group meets online, in Dundee and in Perth – you can find out more by clicking on the link below:

Live Chat is an easy way for young people to chat with trained youth workers in real-time about their Gender and/or Sexuality. It’s text-based: so young people won’t need to speak over voice or video and can remain anonymous. From questioning sexual identity, coming out and relationship issues to bullying and sexual health – the Live Chat is a private place designed for young people to chat confidentially with a youth worker. As a short term service we also work with them to think about further support they may need and how they can access this.

The service is available through the LGBT Youth website, who are online Monday to Thursday. There may be periods where the Digital team are not online for real-time chats, but they are always available through e-mail (info@lgbtyouth.org.uk).

Rainbow Heartlands works to provide greater opportunities for those across the county and connected regions, through activities, events, raising awareness and developing new skills. They are always open to new ideas and new ways of thinking, and everyone is welcome to get involved!
